Dating Throw ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Dating Throw mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
By using Dating Throw, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide the App's functionality:
- Email Address: collected when you create an account through Firebase Authentication. This is used solely for account identification and login.
- Game Data: includes scores, game sessions, and related gameplay information generated during your use of the App. This data is created as part of normal gameplay.
- Online Game Rooms: when you play on two devices, the display name and dice color you choose, your dice rolls and the questions shown are stored in a temporary game room shared only with the partner who joins your code. Rooms are deleted when the host finishes the game and automatically expire after 24 hours.
- Age Confirmation: a record that you confirmed you are 18 or older (stored on your device and, if you have an account, on your profile).
- Device Preferences: settings such as sound, dark mode and unlocked packs are stored locally on your device.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
We do not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to operate the App:
- To create and manage your user account
- To store and sync game sessions between players
- To maintain gameplay history and scores
We do not use your data for analytics tracking, advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core functionality of the App.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, both operated by Google Cloud. These services employ industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest.
We do not store your data on any additional servers or services beyond Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication (Google): for user account creation and login
- Cloud Firestore (Google): for storing game data
These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not integrate any third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or data brokers. We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third parties.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account.
Delete your account in the app: open the menu (☰) and tap Delete Account. After you confirm (email accounts are asked for their password), we immediately delete your profile and stats, any game rooms you host, and your login. Local settings on the device are cleared too. Guest players have no account; the same button clears their on-device data.
You can also request deletion by emailing info@datingthrow.com from the address on your account. We will permanently remove your account and all associated game data within 30 days. See Support for step-by-step instructions.
Children's Privacy
Dating Throw is intended for adults aged 18 and older, and the App asks you to confirm your age before playing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
